STEELHEAD SPECIALTY RATBOY CUSTOM RODS
These rods have been perfected over years of angler trial and error to come up with some of the finest rod designs for specific applications, including light line bottom bouncing, big water bottom bouncing, small water float fishing, big water float fishing, and a few in between models for the angler who needs a rod or two that can do it all.
The Ultimate Soft Water 4lb Rod
This rod was first designed for use in the ultra clear water of Michigan’s Platte River, but has become a favorite among many of us who fish the Steelhead streams of Ohio and Pennsylvania, otherwise known as Steelhead Ally. This rod is built with all high end components, including, super grade cork handles, woven graphite or aluminum reel seats, and zirconium ringed guides. All rods are under wrapped for long term durability and a beautiful appearance.
The Ultimate Soft Water 6lb Rod
This rod was first designed for use in the lower sections of Michigan’s Betsie River where straight 6lb was our go to line for most of the fishing that we did. This rod can handle 4lb line all the way up to 7lb line, but is a absolute machine with 6lb line. This rod is also built using all the same high end components as our Ultimate Soft Water 4lb Rod, and is available in several lengths as listed below.
The Super Noodle Rod
This is a specialty rod for the angler who is fishing with ultra light line for big tough fish. This rod is right at home fishing with line tests as light as 1lb IGFA rated line. This rod is also built with the same high end components as the Ultimate Soft Water Rods |
